Kevin Mercieca serves in the Maltese Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) as the Director of Environment and Resources, currently acting as CEO.

In this capacity, he oversees the overall operations of the Authority, actively participating in the EPAN and IMPEL networks. Kevin is engaged in various national boards and committees, fulfilling his responsibilities within ERA.

His educational background includes a BEd (Hons) degree in Geography from the University of Malta in 1995. Furthering his studies, he earned an MSc with Distinction in Waste Management from the University of Luton in the UK in 1999, and a waste management certificate from studies in Sapporo, Japan, in 2002
