Ingrid Azzopardi, a Certified Public Accountant and Auditor, is the Group Internal Auditor of GO Plc. She has over thirty years’ experience leading an internal audit function. Her responsibilities for the Internal Audit Function also include fraud prevention, detection and investigation.

She is also responsible for facilitating Risk Management and a Purpose Champion with specific focus on GO’s Sustainability Project. Ingrid leads GO Green and represents GO on the Malta ESG Alliance, where she is the Deputy Chair on the Board of Administrators. Ingrid furthered her studies on Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge.

She is a Chartered Director and is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Board of HSBC Bank Malta plc, where she chairs the Audit Committee and is a member of the Risk Management Committee. In the past she has held Board positions at the Housing Authority, the Teatru Manoel, the Mediterranean Conference Centre and HSBC Life Assurance (Malta) Limited. At the latter Company she also chaired the Audit and Risk Committee.

She is a founding member as well as a past chair of the Malta Forum for Internal Auditors. She is a former Council Member of the Malta Association of Risk Management. She is a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants and of the UK Institute of Directors.
