Gayle Kimberley has worked in various fields of economic law, in both the private and public sector, as well as in international organisations. Her main areas of focus are EU law, energy regulation with a focus on renewables, competition regulation and other regulatory matters. She is experienced in litigation before the EU courts and international arbitration. Gayle spent nine years in Brussels, six of which were as a legal adviser within the EU Council’s legal service. She has advised EU Member States and local government and was also appointed as an expert for the European Economic and Social Committee. She also headed the EU and International Affairs department of the Malta Gaming Authority.

Gayle’s expertise and varied experience in EU law mean that she is well versed in all aspects of EU law, policy and EU funding opportunities. She has even assisted clients in obtaining EU funding for renewable energy projects, such as through the European Innovation Fund.
